Chill.com is launching tomorrow, the creation of +Dan Gould, +Andrew Skotzko and +Brian Norgard. If those names sound familiar, you probably checked out Namesake last year, a social network that briefly captured the imaginations of geeks like me, but never really took off (despite some pretty innovative features) against other behemoth players in the space.Chill.com is a video sharing service, of which there are also many. But it takes some of the best features of Namesake to take video sharing up a notch. In addition to a beautiful and clean UI, and fun social features like "likes" and reshares, the main differentiator is that it's built for 'live' video.Whether it's you and your friends all watching the same viral cat videos together, or hundreds of people watching the latest live gadget keynote, Chill.com creates a kind of social screening room. It's often described as "Turntable.fm for video," but of course that would require you to know what Turntable.fm is first. There are other players in this space, including Google+, which lets you launch hangouts from YouTube videos and share videos and screens in group video chats. But hopefully Chill.com adds just enough elegance and fun to do well.

geez! I was just wondering whether something like this would get developed! And here it is!
I forgot about Namesake – I really enjoyed that – but as you said, it just never took off for me.
Sweet! I'm so there!
I'm so happy with their new product!
